It is my favorite highlight from the California trip. My kids were super excited witnessing playful pandas, elephants and other 3,500 animals. I was truly fascinated by the lush tropical forests and exotic bird species there.
Don’t forget to stroll through San Diego Zoo Safari Park which is San Diego Zoo’s sister park. It is at a distance of 35 miles from Zoo that will roughly take around 1 hour to reach there.

Since I always prefer to make our family trips a source of learning and exploration for the kiddies. This is why I took my kids to this amazing place – Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose. There are multiple interactive exhibits and hands-n activities that fuel up kids to come up with their creative side.
Tech Studio, WaterWays and much more educational experiences make children extremely passionate for learning. Your little champs will undoubtedly fall in love with this place.
21- Go on a Helicopter Tour of Los Angeles
I booked a private tour company in Los Angeles to encounter this experience with kids. Actually, I wanted the kids to enjoy panoramic views of the city’s iconic landmarks, from the Hollywood Sign to the Santa Monica Pier.

Since then it as referred to as ‘Ghost Town”. In 1950s, it was architecturally restored and now it is part of the San Bernardino County Regional Parks system.
Besides its historical significance, this town has a number of attractions for kids like Maggie Mine, Mystery Shack Tour, Calica Odessa Railroad, Gold Panning. Moreover, you will have plenty of shops to get gifts and some unique items from.

This museum lets you step back in time and unveil the mysteries of the Ice Age. Actually, millions of years ago this area was home to a bustling ecosystem of prehistoric animals. And the remains of such animals have been preserved in the natural asphalt deposits.
Your kids will come across a magnificent experience by exploring the onsite museum to see fossils of mammoths, saber-toothed cats, and dire wolves. Further, marvel at life-size replicas of ancient creatures, and watch scientists at work in the fossil lab. Tar Pits and Hancock Park is a big attraction for kids where the iconic Lake Pit is located just in front of the museum. Hancock park gives a great space for kids to play next to super-sized Ice Age mammals.

Ohhh it is never to miss thing to do for kids in California! Sesame Place is an amazing Sesame Street-themed park which is loaded with attractions for kids and families. It is one of the newest California’s attractions. One of its parks is located in Philadelphia and other one is in San Diego.
You can find thrilling rides and attractions as well as shows and parades to enjoy. What I really enjoyed with my kids was the Sesame Street Neighborhood which is full of colors and includes Hooper’s Store, Big Bird’s Nest and more. With the exclusive interactive elements, this part of Sesame Place San Diego was most cherishing.
